Palmas Opening for The Bright Light Social Hour at Underground Arts Oct. 28

Palmas Opening for The Bright Light Social Hour at Underground Arts Oct. 28

Before the mood-shifting cold gains a formidable grip on our daily activities, Palmas enters the cozy climate of Underground Arts’s Black Box. Rumbling backend develops a tension, as spiraling surf guitar sparks a blaze, the ghostly echo of keys vibrates in the distance, and melodic vocals lead the search. Conversely, the band can ease off the reins, allowing the calming natural rhythm of the current dictate a soothing nostalgic serenade or a breezy harmony-laced rocker. Tonight, they will be joined by the twisted psych-pop/rock sense of calm rolled out by the duo of Swimm. Austin psych-rockers The Bright Light Social Hour tie this billing together in the headlining role. Underground Arts, 1200 Callowhill St., 8pm, $17, 21+ - Michael Colavita
