Weekend Warrior, November 3 - 5

Weekend Warrior, November 3 - 5

Tonight, Johnny Brenda’s will be hosting melodic punk outfit Worriers. Commemorating its freshly issued album, Survival Pop, which is now available via SideOneDummy, the band captures a reflective, rambunctious, magnetizing current. Developing transferable narratives whose loose, focused build reaches undeniably momentous ends, these songs strike a nerve as one plants oneself in the midst of the storylines, letting the plot play out.  Reevaluating flashbacks with future projections and the in-between (now), Lauren Denitzio and company push forward, producing a consistently adapting perspective that imparts an emotive recognition, reconciling with the causes of conflicts and embracing the points of positivity. Worriers will be supported this evening by the kindred spirit of Thin Lips and the harmonious, open-book powerpop of Katie Ellen. - Michael Colavita
