Cave People

New Cave People EP Available for Streaming & Purchase

Cave People recently dropped its new EP Salt, which was recorded by Joe Michelini (of American Trappist) at Berlin Studios. All proceeds will go to Juntos, a Philly-based organization that is fighting for immigrant rights. A folk, bare-bones vulnerability unfolds on Dave Tomaine's latest album. An air of loneliness and regret stirs, yet there is a beauty to it all. That fragility wears into you as the music plays on.

New Music Video: "Are You Looking" - Cave People

Below is the new video for "Are You Looking," which is featured on Salt (Stereophonodon Records), the forthcoming EP from Cave People, scheduled for release on September 7. Directed by Robert Salazar, a common thread of peppermints and nightly drives permeates throughout. Chronicling an evening as an Uber/Lyft driver, the job is displayed on the surface. However, the protagonist appears to recall more pleasant, intimate memories throughout. Mirroring the lyrics, one wonders what caused the distance/disconnect. Cave People are slated to appear at Union Transfer on Wednesday, September 5, as part of a lineup that also includes Kississippi, Ratboys, and Foxing.

Cave People's new EP Kingfisher is out now via Stereophonodon. A stirring, intimate, warmth radiates from within a cabin. The serenity of thought-provided space gently wears into you, which is countered and accentuated by a heart-thumping, grungy melody. Boot & Saddle will hosting the band’s record release this Thursday, April 12, with support from Petal & Body Guard.

New Track: "Wait" - Cave People

Kingfisher, the forthcoming EP from Cave People, will be released via Stereophonodon Records on April 6. Its lead single, “Wait,” ponders in a daydream of distraction. Hung up on an individual or ideal, the song pleasantly stirs in a delayed sadness. Then, that mid-tempo tone ramps up as haunting howls breakthrough in the background. With support from Petal and Body Guard, you can catch the band’s record release show on Thursday, April 12 at Boot & Saddle.

New Music Video: "Sinning Tree" - Cave People

Cave People recently released their full-length debut, Sinning Tree, via Stereophonodon Records. In the video for the title-track, directed by Sarah Trad and Kevin Tomasura, Dave Tomaine encounters a troll in the woods, and proceeds to exchange cash for a seed. However, the planting process takes an unexpected turn as Tomaine ultimately ends up in the ground.
