New Circadian Rhythms Album Available for Streaming & Download

Finally, A Peculiar Kind of Afternoon, the new album from Circadian Rhythms, is available online. So now, as the temperatures continue to rise, one can quench his/her need for refreshing melodies. Whimsical, strolling, diverse instrumentation precisely paces and illuminates the voyage. Refining the sonic edges without weighing the listener down in the process, the band latest release lifts one into a joyous daydream of possibility.

Weekend Warrior May 12 - 14

An immediate, determined sense of soulful urgency drips from Sheer Mag. Shrouded in sticky grooves united with decisively climbing guitar licks, the band seizes the opportunity, gathering the collective energy within the room and harnessing it into an exhibition, showcasing the duality, when vulnerability transforms into power. Fresh off the announcement of their forthcoming debut full-length Need to Feel Your Love, which will be available on July 16 via Static Shock Records, the former Deli Philly Artist(s) of Year bring their rippin' and roarin' chew ‘em up and spit ‘em out rock 'n' roll to First Unitarian Church this Saturday. The melodic, fuzz-speckled, bass-thumping garage-punk of Marge help to fortify this billing, which also includes Vancouver’s Weed.

Meanwhile, over at PhilaMOCA on the same evening, the bright, bubbling, psych-venturing pop of six-piece collective Circadian Rhythms gently stacks instrumental layers, melding refreshingly with its slightly off-kilter arrangements. The band will be celebrating its new record, A Peculiar Kind of Afternoon, supported by the sunny instrumentals of R.R. Perkins and the casually cloudy exploits of Mavis the Dog. - Michael Colavita

New Music Video: "The Wait" - Circadian Rhythms

Circadian Rhythms have released a new video for “The Wait,” the first single from their forthcoming album A Peculiar Kind of Afternoon, due out on May 13. The band casually steps into a warm, mellow melody, peppered with accents of violin and trumpet. The song strolls in a pleasant key-driven gate, developing a buoyant, layered sound. PhilaMOCA will play host to the group's album release party on Saturday, May 13 with R.R. Perkins and Mavis and The Dog.

New Track: "One of Every" - Son Step

Enjoy the gentle gliding tone of “One of Every”, the latest single from experimental-pop trio Son Step. The song is by the soft pulse of keys and percussion washed over with vocal harmony creating daydreaming atmosphere. Circadian Rhythms Opening for The Apache Relay at JB's May 5

Circadian Rhythms are the type of group that raise the joy factor in the air. With cascading well-rounded tunes that sprinkle in strolling pieces of keys, xylophone, horns, etc. and marrying them with enriching ensemble harmonies, the band carves out a place that recognizes the past, but still works in the present. It’s casual comfort that opens the doors wide open without losing focus in the process. Tonight at Johnny Brenda’s, they'll have copies of their latest EP A Passing Thought and new tunes to share. Circadian Rhythms will be joined by the folky, Americana Nashville outfit Great Peacock, who has also a new record, Making Ghosts, due out May 12.
