New Music Video: "Seven Days" - The Dove & The Wolf and Sign to Fat Possum

We had already guessed that The Dove & The Wolf had been signed to a record label when we first discovered that their 2016 EP I Don't Know What To Feel had been taken down from their Bandcamp page this past fall. The duo of Paloma Gil and Lou Hayat just premiered a new music video for the single, "Seven Days," yesterday via NPR, and they also shared that I Don't Know What To Feel will be reissued on March 24 by Fat Possum with two additional tracks. Congrats, ladies! (Photo by CJ Harvey)

Weekend Warrior, November 25 - 27

Thanksgiving is a time for homecoming and festivities. And that's exactly what The Districts have in mind when they return to Philly for a little break from their fall tour. The hometown love is strong for the Lititz, PA transplants, so just one show might not be enough for their friends and fans this holiday weekend. Instead, they've setup a Trifecta of kick-ass, sold-out shows, with the help of some talented friends, that will be beginning this evening at Johnny Brenda’s. Tonight, the introspective beauty of Kississippi will be tugging at the heartstrings, after a dramatic, oddly spooky performance from Baltimore’s Albert Bagman. On Saturday, you’ll find The Districts joined by buzzworthy Philly newcomers Tangiers and The Dove & The Wolf. And finally, the Fat Possum artists will be hosting a very rare, all-ages show at JB’s on Sunday that also features alt-rockers Mumblr, who will be happily returning home from their own big tour. Johnny Brenda's, 1201. N Frankford Ave., 9pm (7pm - Sunday), SOLD OUT, 21+ (All Ages - Sunday) (Photo by Sarah Rudderow) - Bill McThrill

New Videos: "The Smell Of Us," "On The Other Side" & "Seven Days" (Live - Out Of Town Films) - The Dove & The Wolf

The serenity of precisely woven vocal harmons reign supreme in Out Of Town Films trio of videos documenting The Dove & The Wolf. “The Smell Of Us” enlists a loving, lingering nostalgia amid change, while “On The Other Side” gradually steps out as the sun rises, returning from a journey and branching forward as the tempo led by percussion transitions ahead. “Seven Days” details the emotional and mental reflections felt after the November attacks at Batalcan.

New Music Video: "The Smell of Us" - The Dove & The Wolf

The Dove & The Wolf recently premiered a new music video for "The Smell of Us," over at Nylon. The footage uses the landscapes of Atlantic City, Wildwood, and Ocean City (New Jersey) to capture the air of loneliness found in the single, which is off the duo's latest EP I Don't Know What To Feel. The video was directed and edited by Dave Jannetta. You can catch The Dove & The Wolf performing live tomorrow evening at All Night Diner with Friendship, Curtis Cooper, and Field Sleeper.

New The Dove & The Wolf EP Available for Streaming & Purchase

Parisian transplants Paloma Gil and Louise Hayat-Camard, a.k.a. The Dove & The Wolf, recently dropped a new EP, titled I Don't Know What To Feel, their response to the Paris Terrorist Attacks on November 13, 2015. The album came to fruition with assistance from a plethora of local Philly talent. It was produced by Dave Hartley (Nightlands, The War on Drugs) and Nick Krill (Teen Men, The Spinto Band). Multi-instrumentalist Craig Hendrix (Auctioneer, Mammal of Paradise) and Andy Black (Nicos Gun, Dangerous Ponies) have joined the band, and the record also contains guest appearances from Jesse Hale Moore (Ladies Auxiliary), Owen Biddle (The Roots) and Charlie Hall (The War on Drugs).
