Loose Tooth

New Loose Tooth Album Available for Streaming & Purchase

Released via Lame-O Records and Father/Daughter Records, Big Day, the new album from Loose Tooth, will shake you out of your Monday zombie-like state. The quartet plays off juxtaposing emotive states, languishing in melodic desolation and then smashing ahead in an agitated state of aggression. Consistently shifting gears, the band creates a brutally catchy record. On Saturday, April 29 at Cat House, Loose Tooth will be taking part in the recently announced, multi-venue showcases of Alright? Okay Fest, presented by Lockjaw Media.

Lame-O Records Rock Residency at Boot Saddle Every Thursday This January

One of the beautiful things that has provided me with hope when faced with the imminent reality of living in a Trump kleptocracy is witnessing the natural outpour of kindness and compassion that has spread throughout our communities, as we learn more than ever the necessity to be the keepers of our brothers and sisters. It is the responsibility of all of us to make sure our neighbors, friends, family and loved ones are safe. Lame-O Records and multitude of talented artists will be taking over Boot & Saddle every Thursday in January to raise money for organizations in need of our help. Tonight will be the kick-off of the Philly label's "Rock Residency" with family members Hurry, Dominic, and Cherry, who will be donating their proceeds to Planned Parenthood, followed by Slaughter Beach, Dog, Loose Tooth, and No Thank You for Juntos, Thin Lips, The Superweaks, and The Obsessives for The Attic Youth Center, and Three Man Cannon, Kate Ellen, and The Afterglows for the Philly ACLU. You'll have plenty of chances to do some good this month, while still getting to rock out - a bit of guilt-free partying, except maybe when you decide to not go to work or school on Friday, which I totally give you permission to do. Boot & Saddle, 1131 S. Broad St., 8:30pm, $8, 21+ - Q.D. Tran

Its lead single, "Garlic Soup," is now available for streaming below, and you'll find Loose Tooth performing next in Philly on Thursday, January 12 at Boot & Saddle as part of the Lame-O Records "Rock Residency". Pinkwash Plays Host to Slow Mass at Everybody Hits Sept. 30

Situated along the western edge of Northern Liberties on Girard is batting cage and DIY venue Everybody Hits, who this week will be hosting a stacked set headed by Philly's own Pinkwash.  The duo of Joey Doubek and Ashley Arnwine churns out intensely gripping tunes that are as swift as they are leaden, captivating a wide array of attention in the music community, while finding homes for their releases on labels Sister Polygon and Don Giovanni Records. The band’s name is derived from the term "pinkwashing," which refers to the often unregulated practice of companies aligning their products and brands with cancer awareness and LGBTQ movements without necessarily contributing to those causes. Pinkwash will be joined by fellow Philadelphians Lithuania and Loose Tooth, as well as Chicago-based musical outlet Slow Mass. Slow Mass are currently on tour in support of their new EP Treasure Pains, released earlier this month via Landland. They draw sonic inspiration from associated acts Into It. Over It., My Dad and Former Thieves, while distinguishing their new project as an exciting endeavor with plenty of potential for new material. Everybody Hits, 527 W. Girard Ave., 8pm, $8, All Ages - Josh Kelly
