New Music Video: "Dreams & Nightmares" - Meek Mill

Below is a dichotomic new music video for the title track from Meek Mill's album Dreams & Nightmares. The footage starts off rather dreamy, but at a flip of a switch, it intensifes bringing you into an urban Mad Max-like landscape. Ha...and then closes out to what looks like a Ciroc product endorsment.

Meek Mill & Cassidy Trade Diss Tracks

Can't we all just get along? If you haven't heard or followed, hometown rappers Meek Mill and Cassidy have been having a war of words via Twitter, and Cassidy has been challenging Meek to a good ol' fashion live rap battle. It sounded like we were going to get one when Mill finally accepted the challenge the other day to duel it out for $100,000. However, Meek had a change of heart so Cassidy came at him with a diss track, "Me, Myself, & iPhone." Well, last night Meek responded with his own diss track called "Repo," which was produced by Jahlil Beats. You can check out both of their jabs at each other below. BTW: Honestly, these Twitter wars are pretty lame. Meek & Cassidy need to find a church basement, and take care of this nonsense "8-mile" styley. We'd be into paying to see that as long as there is plenty of security, and everyone in attendance is forced to go through a metal detector. Right? But we highly doubt that we'll see it ever happen - weak sauce.

Meek Mill Not Allowed to Tour Due to Probation

It looks like Meek Mill’s troubles with the law are continuing to affect his budding music career. Mill, a.k.a. Robert Williams, was detained a few months back on the day that one of his release parties was set. Well, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer, Judge Genece Brinkley ruled today that he will not be allowed to travel for concerts and other music-related appearances because of his probation stemming from an arrest in January 2007 where he was booked for his involvement in drugs, guns and an assault. He chose a nonjury trial, and in August 2008, Meek was found guilty of assault, four counts involving carrying an unlicensed gun in public, and two drug counts. He was sentenced to 11 to 23 months in prison, and served eight months - being released to five years of probation, which he still has about three years to complete. Mill was supposed to be in Los Angeles on Wednesday to perform on the Conan O'Brien show. It would have been his last stop in the U.S. before ending 2012 in Africa with shows in Lagos, Nigeria and Libreville, Gabon, which have already been cancelled due to the uncertain outcome of today’s hearing. Meek Mill will continue to remain in Philly so that he can periodically appear in court for his probation hearings.

Meek Mill Detained by Philly Police Before Album Release Party

Last night Meek Mill was detained by Philly police around 8 p.m. after his vehicle was stopped at 1100 W. Girard Ave. It was also the evening of the release party for his debut studio album Dreams & Nightmares.

According to Philadelphia Police spokeswoman Julian Russell:

“He was stopped in a vehicle but was not arrested. He was only detained in a substation. In normal cases, we do not give out this kind of information, so I can’t release anything further.”
