Weekend Warrior, October 23 - 25

On back-to-back evenings, Union Transfer plays host to a stacked billing. The melodic anthem-inducing pop punk of The Menzingers is emotively pertinent, instilling a rousing energy that tees up lyrically for those all-in crowd-pleasing moments. The ever-evolving sound of mewithoutYou marinated in lyrical contemplation and an instrumental diversity that runs the gambit from softly subdued to a blistering assertive volcano of post-hardcore. The weaving figure-eight indie rock of Restorations murmurs and explodes, consistently adjusting the dial in a calculated, controlled manner while a burning intensity reaches the universal surface. Maryland post-hardcore outfit Pianos Become The Teeth complete a twin night billing that brings out emotions in the best way possible. Union Transfer, 1026 Spring Garden St., $20-$24, 7pm, All Ages - Michael Colavita

New Video: "Red Cow & Dorothy" - mewithoutYou

mewithoutYou provided us with a treat yesterday at Pitchfork. The band premiered and linked two videos for its tracks "Red Cow" and "Dorothy," off the group's latest LP Pale Horses (Run For Cover). You'll find frontman Aaron Weiss amidst a frenetic train-hopping adventure before the footage morphs into a more reflective, down-tempo state, with both clips directed by Daniel Davison. mewithoutYou are scheduled for big back-to-back evenings on October 23 & 24 at Union Transfer with The Menzingers, Restorations, and Pianos Become The Teeth. Grab your tix ahead of time because we predict that these shows will sell out.

New Video: Audiotree Live - mewithoutYou

Philly indie rockers mewithoutYou recently performed at an in-studio Audiotree Live session in Chicago. The band played a set of six songs from its latest LP Pale Horse, which included the title track, "D-Minor," "Magic Lantern Days," "Red Cow," and "Chapelcross Towns," a version that is only available on the deluxe edition of the record. You can stream the video below, and purchase the live session HERE.

New mewithoutYou LP Available for Streaming

The always unpredictable mewithoutYou consistently release some of the most interesting music to come out of Philly. With the group's latest Will Yip-produced album, Pale Horses, which you can stream in its entirety at Noisey, the band has created its best record to date. The LP officially comes out digitally on June 16 via Run For Cover Records, with the vinyl being shipped out the following month.

New Track: "D - Minor" - mewithoutYou

Here's mewithoutYou's second offering from their forthcoming album Pale Horses, entitled "D - Minor." On their latest, which premiered over at NPR, you find a more subdued outfit, in comparison to the group's previous lead single "Red Cow"; however, the band's usual intesity and insightful storytelling still remains prevalent throughout the track. Pale Horses will be officially available on June 16 via Run For Cover Records.
