Moon Bounce

New Moon Bounce EP Available for Streaming & Purchase

Moon Bounce, a.k.a. Corey Regensburg, just dropped another awkwardly sexy collection of electropop tracks. Blips and bloops are expertly meshed with suave vocals and a sharp wit to relieve you of those panties on his latest EP Strange Loop. It's now available via Moving Castle, and you can can stream the three jams below. Moon Bounce will be kicking off his mini Left Coast run this evening at UNION in Los Angeles.

New Moon Bounce LP Available for Streaming & Purchase

After releasing a multitude of EPs and singles, Corey Regensberg, a.k.a. Moon Bounce, has finally dropped his first full-length album, titled Clean House. Available digitally and on 12" vinyl via Grind Select, the LP finds a balance between sultry soul/R&B and glitched-out electropop. The groovetastic, off-kiltered production and surprisingly smooth falsetto vocals certainly helps to separate Regensberg from what is currently coming up from the local underground music scene. Moon Bounce is heading out on tour at the end of this month with New Jersey's Ehiorobo in support of Clean House, and they'll be closing things out in Philly on Friday, April 14 at the recently resuscitated Ulana's.

New Music Video: "Drugs" - Moon Bounce

We probably need to do a copious amount drugs to forget some of the things that we've seen in Moon Bounce's latest creation. Corey Regensburg stars and hilariously bares all in the Peter English-directed music video, with beautiful animation and artwork by Raymo Ventura. We can only imagine the amount of effort expended to pull this off, and they succeeded tenfold. "Drugs" is the lead single off Moon Bounce's forthcoming LP Clean House, due out on March 10 via Grind Select.

Square Peg Round Hole Record Release Show at MilkBoy March 26

The atmospheric instrumental trio Square Peg Round Hole are celebrating the release of their new album Juniper with a show tonight at MilkBoy. The sound is built around tight, intricate percussion, be it the super technical drumming, dueling vibraphones, or other found sound. Reminiscent of The Album Leaf or Lymbyc System, the group's latest effort succeeds with complex, driving undertones and dexterous melodies that carry the listener through. The songs are nimble and jazzy, calming while expressive. Slated for direct support is Philly’s own Moon Bounce, a funky Martian who makes R&B from the future, with his silky, theatric voice and sticky sweet synth lines. The energetic grooves fly in and out of frame, turning on a dime at any moment, making for a manic, but extremely fun experience. Also on the bill this evening will be  the experimental pop of Son Step. MilkBoy, 1100 Chestnut St., 8:30pm, $10, 21+ - Adam G.

Let the Situation Get Weird w/Moon Bounce at W/N W/N Nov. 8

One could choose to let their week wind down, or you can let the situation get weird in a delightful, slinky, strange manner. Moon Bounce, a.k.a. Corey Regensburg, with a sampling of new material, slides into W/N W/N - velvety soulful R&B that takes on a morphing, glitch-fueled, light-speed ear toward the future. Regenburg gravitationally gets you within arms reach, taking the familiar and flipping it sideways, pushing the boundaries. Nashville’s Meth Dad, otherwise known as Tyler Walker, dishes out positive vibes in joyous, electro-dance party doses. With a freshly released record Shhh!!!!, Austin via Toronto’s Shmu, a.k.a. Sam Chown, canvasses a plethora of genres to create an electro-psych-noise scenario. "Club Mega DJs" Grave Goods and Sam Greens round out an evening that promises never to stand still. W/N W/N, 931 Spring Garden St., 9pm, 21+ - Michael Colavita
