New Music Video: "Moody" - Queen of Jeans

Queen of Jeans take advantage of a beautiful backdrop, where the the ocean meets the sky, in their latest video for the single "Moody". Shot and directed by Bob Sweeney, the four-piece indulge in a lazy day at the shore before taking an odd, fully-clothed dip. You can ask them what this video is all about this evening when they headline Boot & Saddle. (Photo by Rachel Del Sordo)

Pouty Opening for Tacocat at Underground Arts Oct. 3

Barreling ahead, bratty pop-punk that hits in a pleasant release of pent-up emotion, smacking with sincerity and attitude, Pouty pushes forward. Tonight, Underground Arts plays host as the band’s transitional, foiling elements of close, internalized thoughts emerges from a personal space, gathering strength, while shifting positions, igniting initial intimacy into aggression. It's reinvigorating, retrograde pop when Queen of Jeans cascading vocal harmony intertwines with tightly spun rhythms, delivering dreamy serenades and groove-shakers alike. These locals will be paired with Nashville grunge-pop trio Daddy Issues and the energetic bump of Seattle pop-punk quartet Tacocat. Underground Arts, 1200 Callowhill St., 9pm, $14, 21+ - Michael Colavita

New Track: "In Dreams" (Roy Orbison Cover) - Queen of Jeans

Queen of Jeans were winners of our Featured Artist(s) Poll last fall. One of the many prizes that comes with this honor is free studio time at Sleepless Sound Studio, and we are excited that they have put to good use. Check out the recording of their cover for Roy Orbison's "In Dreams," which appears on the Summer of Sad compilation from Swell Tone & Z Tapes! (Photo by Rachel Del Sordo)

New Videos: "Moody" & "Pup" (Live - Out Of Town Films) - Queen of Jeans

Dream-pop outfit Queen of Jeans recently stopped by Out Of Town Films headquarters at Berks Warehouse in Philly to record a live session. Performing two songs from the group's self-titled debut EP, the sultry, swagger of "Moody" effortlessly charms, while "Pup" languidly caressess and comforts, taking you away from all your worries in the world. Marissa Lesnick's lead vocals and the band's backing harmonies sound spectacular. You can catch Queen of Jeans live, and fall under their spell on Thursday, August 18 with Grubby Little Hands as part of the Spruce Street Harbor Park Waterfront Sessions. (Photo by Bob Sweeney)
