Young Statues

New Young Statues LP Available for Streaming & Purchase

Young Statues dropped their new full-length album The Flatlands Are Your Friend today via Boston's Run For Cover Records. You can stream and purchase the album in its entirety below. The band will also be celebrating its release this Friday at Kung Fu Necktie with Mohican and Dryjacket.

New Track: “Run The River Dry” - Young Statues

Young Statues have a new track available from their upcoming record The Flatlands Are Your Friends. “Run The River Dry” is driven by the steady, military cadence of its percussion and Carmen Cirignano’s agitated vocals, relaying an air of urgency. The album was recorded by the band in seclusion at a studio in Athens, Georgia with the foursome in the same room playing through the songs. We’re predicting that the group will be sounding tight when they hit the road to support the release.

Young Statues Opening for The Early November at WCL Aug. 5 & 6

For the next two evenings, Young Statues will open a pair of sold-out shows, headlined by The Early November, upstairs at World Café Live. The quartet brings a youthful exuberance, accompanied by unshielded emotional narrative elements. However, while the lyrics take on a personal shape and sound, the overall instrumental notes are a positive, crisply composed boost of adrenaline. Young Statues reveal enough lyrically to connect on that relatable level, while holding back just enough to not fall in the deep. Get to World Café Live early, and catch them opening, followed by Michigan husband and wife duo Empire Empire! (I was a Lonely Estate), who are set to release a new LP You Will Eventually Be Forgotten, via Count Your Lucky Stars Records, later this month. The Early November will then perform an intimate acoustic set of their greatest hits. World Café Live, 3025 Walnut St. 8pm, $15, All Ages - Michael Colavita

New Music Video: "Eraser" - Young Statues

Have you ever had a relationship that you'd like to delete from your memory? Well, often times that is easier said than done. However, in Young Statues' new music video for the track "Eraser" (from their EP Age Ain't Ours), which premiered yesterday on MTV's Buzzworthy, the band had a fun idea to just throw a big party with music, friends, booze, a sledgehammer and a bonfire to burn all your exes' stuff. However, you might want to avoid breaking into their places and robbing them. That's some psycho ex-girlfriend/boyfriend shit! But let's be honest. You're already a bit off your rocker if you need to burn their possessions to move on - just sayin'.

New Track: "Eraser" - Young Statues

Below is a new track from Young Statues called "Eraser" that premiered earlier today via Noisey. It's the first single from their upcoming EP Age Isn't Ours (Run For Cover Records), which will be out April 2, and they'll be locally celebrating its release on Sunday, April 7 at The Barbary.
