New Track: "Up From Below" - Remember Sports

Formerly known as Sports, Remember Sports will release their forthcoming album, Slow Buzz, on May 18 via Father/ Daughter Records. Its lead single, "Up From Below," wastes little time, jumping out of the gates at a frenetic pace. A seemingly breathless vocal delivery matches the track's instrumental intensity. Reflecting in an ongoing emotional-evolution, the song quickly gathers momentum while opening a portal into personal perspective. Remember Sports will headline Everybody Hits on Friday, February 23, where they'll be joined by Tall Friend, Boosegumps, and Slow Ref.

New Track: "Chains" - Lovelorn

In the aftermath of Creepoid’s final show, its offshoot, Lovelorn, has emerged with a debut single. “Chains” finds Anna Troxell, Patrick Troxell, and PeteJoe Urban pulling listeners into a haunted space. Anna’s vocals serve as the candle light leading the way through a labyrinth, as the backend marches in line and the guitar stirs, doubling down on the menacing atmospherics. You can catch Lovelorn's first live Philly performance at Underground Arts on Sunday, March 25, with Dead Meadow and Dallas Acid.

FRIGS - New Record Friday, US Tour!

This Toronto 4 piece band is getting ready to release their latest record “Basic Behaviour” this Friday February 23rd. You can have an early listen to FRIGS' few tunes on their bandcamp page. The record opens with a wild track “Doghead” that might have you a little bit puzzled as to what the record is all about. It acts as a great hook though as the next track “Talking Pictures” settles into a dark alt-rock setting with some 80’s vibes to it. They have a calm yet frantic energy about them. These guys and gal will be heading through the States including a stop in Austin for SXSW in the next couple months. Their tour finishes up right here in Toronto at the Garrison on April 7th. – Kris Gies
