Weekend Warrior, December 16 - 18

As we approach the end of what will be remembered as 2016 - a sea of overwhelming sentiment and saturation - we can reflect on our experience with a resounding NAH. Philly sound sculptor Michael Kuhn captured a devoted following with his work in the explosive rock duo 1994!. In recent years, he has departed in large part from “guitar music” to reemerge into the musical ethos as a harbinger of defiance, affronting musical norms through experimentation and a healthy skepticism of traditional genre boundaries. Shreds of sonic imagery sound out into the whir of Kuhn’s bewitching rhythm section, recalcitrant while bearing a unity that is tangible at a live set. A NAH show creates a space to engage in the reassuring positivity and thrill of being present, as selves and as participants in the greater communities we occupy. He’ll be celebrating the release of his new LP Michael (Ranch Records) this Saturday in Brewerytown at Yung Kandy Collective, where he'll also be supported by special guests Drums Like Machine Guns, Slums, and What NerveYung Kandy Collective, 7:30pm, $7, All Ages (Photo by Gabe Coffey) - Josh Kelly

Computer Magic unveils video for 'Dimensions' + talks about gear with Delicious Audio

Danz Johnson, aka Computer Magic, is by no means a tyro when it comes to navigating the music scene. In just 6 years, the Brooklyn-based synth-pop artist amassed 10+ releases, became something of a sensation in Japan, and shows no signs of stopping anytime soon. Her latest EP, Obscure But Visible, smacks of  a more mature artist capable of fulling flexing her songwriting abilities, but has the same fresh feel and innovative vibes that her fans have come to love her for. Recently, the artist unveiled a new video for single 'Dimensions' (streaming below), agreed to give us a glimpse into the magic that happens behind her computer and talk about her songwriting processes and experiences performing. - Olivia Sisinni

New Music Video: "Under The Rug" - Steady Hands

To honor the arrival of their double LP Rude Boys Of Bar Rock (Lame-O Records), Steady Hands, who is fronted by Modern Baseball drummer Sean Huber, just shared a new music video for album opener "Under The Rug". Directed by Emily Dubin, the camera focuses on the adorable "#1 daug," Bruce, enjoying a lazy afternoon with his favorite toy and a vinyl copy of the group's new record. Keeping it simple; it becomes more eye candy for animal lovin' YouTubers. (Photo by Jessica Flynn)

New Video: Audiotree Live Session - Cayetana

Cayetana stopped by Audiotree for a live session while they were in Chicago for two nights at the Double Door, supporting The Bouncing Souls and The Flatliners. The set consists of fan favorites ("Serious Things Are Stupid," "Freedom1313" & "Hot Dad Calendar") as well as a couple of unreleased songs ("Certain For Miles" & "Mesa"). The ladies also shared that they'll be self-releasing their next album. Cayetana already have a hefty U.S. tour schedule lined up for 2017, where they'll be supporting Lemuria on their 10th Anniversary tour for the group's first LP Get Better. You'll be able to catch them in Philly on Saturday, February 18 at the First Unitarian Church. BTW: Props to Augusta Koch for toughenin' it out through this session!
