Reef the Lost Cauze just released a new track called “My Dick Needs Goggles”, which was produced by Emynd. Methinks doth boast too much. Just kidding Reef - we can “feel it” through our jeans. You can take a listen to the track and download it below. Enjoy! - The Deli Staff

Get PRIMITIVE w/Birth Noise and Acid Kicks at KFN Dec. 21!

When you get primitive, things tend to get pretty debaucherous, and that’s what I’m hoping to happen tonight at KFN. PRIMITIVE Presents is putting on a FREE event tonight at one of my favorite watering holes, and it promises to give all the punk, garage, metal, grunge, noise and waves to make us do very bad things. Acid Kicks will be bringing their “dream punk” as well as three bassists and a drummer, but I don’t think that they’ll have a Spinal Tap moment searching for KFN’s stage. Well, I wouldn’t mind if they did, and if you’ve been in the backroom upstairs before, then you should know that stranger things can happen behind closed doors. Birth Noise will be joining the festivities, and their name probably says it all about what you’ll be in for this evening, but I’ll share with you the video below to get your ears ready. (It’s pretty gnarley - right. Yeah - I think so too.) PRIMITIVE DJs Jane Pain and Laura Lawless also have plenty of mayhem to help us get in the mood to fuck shit up! Kung Fu Necktie, 1250 N. Front St., 9pm, FREE, 21+ - H.M. Kauffman

Winter Solstice Celebration at The Ox Dec. 21

I was just standing outside watching the lunar eclipse and thinking that it would’ve been funny to have a flash Lunar Eclipse/Winter Solstice party that only lasted as long as the eclipse. Of course, in reality, it would have been a pretty lame party only lasting about an hour with the other random four insomniacs on my street that happened to be up at three in the morning as well. But having A Stick and a Stone perform in full ensemble during this rare occasion. Now, that would have been a memorable moment experiencing Elliott Harvey’s vision fully realized as the beautifully orchestrated strings and haunting vocals seductively danced and battled while the Earth shaded in the moon. Instead, it was just me freezing my ass off in the cold watching what you might experience on a cloudy evening happening super slowly. Chalk it up as something that I did. Well, it’s still Winter Solstice and A Stick and a Stone will be at The Ox tonight w/The New Heaven and The New Earth, Motorcycle Maus and Scott Churchman so you have somewhere to go to celebrate your pagan ritual with like-minded people this evening. The Ox (you should know by now or just ask a friend), 8pm, $5, All Ages - H.M. Kauffman
